Uganda Cranes head coach Johnny McKinstry has finally named a 34-man provisional squad for the 2020 African Nations Champions set for Cameroon.
McKinstry has named injured KCCA FC goalkeeper Charles Lukwago in the squad that starts preparations for the tournament that will run from April 4 to 25 in three Cameronian cities of Douala, Yaounde and Limbe.
Lukwagi suffered a leg injury in a Uganda Premier League tie against Express last week.
SC Villa's Derrick Ndahiro and KCCA's Herbert Achai receive maiden call ups Mike Mutyaba is recalled to the team after missing out on CECAFA in December 2019.
McKinstry also announced that the squad will start residential training on March 1 at the Cambridge International School.
Cranes are drawn in Pool C alongside defending champions Morocco rivals Rwanda and Togo. They will be based in the coastal city of Douala and will play their group matches at StadeReunification.
