Ghanaian midfielder Godfred Donsah has sung the praises of the Bologna manager Siniša Mihajlovic whom he has described as a personal father figure.
Donsah left Bologna to join Belgian side Cercle Brugge on a loan deal but he still reminiscing on the relationship he had with his former manager, insisting that helped him throughout his time at the club.
The 23-year-old made his move to Belgium in a bid to get more game time and he has since made 16 appearances since joining the side in late 2019.
"I asked for the transfer to Bologna after talking to Mihajlovic," he said.
"He has always told me that three years ago he would have wanted me in Turin too, he is like a father to me.
"This summer I spoke to him and he told me that he would keep me in Bologna willingly but that, coming back from an injury.
"I needed to play with continuity, to regain the rhythm and that in Rossoblù could not guarantee all this.
"I had also had an offer from a Serie A team from Belgium but I decided to accept the proposal of Cercle Bruges where I knew I could find minutes."
