Unsettled KCCA FC left-back Mustapha Kizza is again a man on the move after reports emerged that he is in Switzerland chasing another deal.
Kizza was a disappointed man in January after Moroccan club HassaniaAgadir pulled the plug on his transfer at the eleventh hour. He had to return back to Kampala and continue helping KCCA in the title race.
Club coach Mike Mutebi confirmed that the defender is out of the country but declined to name the club where he is attending the trials.
“Kizza (Mustafa) is not in the country, he travelled to Switzerland for trials. He travelled on the invitation but I can’t tell you to which club, actually two clubs are interested in him,” Mutebi said after his side’s goalless draw against Proline.
At the same time, Mutebi revealed that midfielder Nicolas Kasozi has gone AWOL and appealed to anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.
“When people claim we don’t love players, we are telling those people to look at the players’ behaviour. Nicolas Kasozi is AWOL, we don’t know where he is, and he didn’t inform anyone here. So those are the kind of players you keep claiming they don’t have playtime” an angry Mutebi told Uganda's football256.com.
Kasozi joined KCCA from SC Villa in 2019 and has struggled to cement a place in the team. He is also part of 34-man Uganda provisional squad preparing for African Nations Championship under Johnny Mckinstry.
