Harambee Starlets head coach David Ouma has insisted that his side is ready to face Chile in their Saturday clash in the ongoing Turkish Women Cup being staged in Turkey.
Starlets began their campaign with a 2-0 win over Northern Ireland and according to Ouma, they will be doing all they can to minimize the opposition threats.
“Chile is a strong side. We will exert our style of play to try and minimize their threats. We are aware of their strong points and will be keen on them tomorrow. If we can keep our awareness on these threats, then we are capable of getting a positive result against them,” Ouma is quoted by the FKF website.
After the Chile game, Starlets will be up against Uzbekistan on Tuesday 10 March at the Starlight Sports Complex, starting 11 am.
He tournament is part of Starlets preparations ahead of the Africa Women Qualification process where they are slated to take on neighbours Tanzania in April.
The winner of the first-round tie will face off with either DR Congo or Sao Tome and Principe in the second and final qualifying round.
