Following his side's elimination in the Turkish Women's Cup, David Ouma has hailed the Harambee Stars for their performance.
Starlets finished third behind Chile and Ghana in the Turkish Women's Cup but Ouma is focused on positives only. The Kenya women's national football team started the tourney on a high note, beating Nothern Ireland 2-0 in the opener but lost their two matches against Chile and Ghana with a 5-0 and 3-1 results respectively.
"I would like to congratulate my players for playing well despite calling them when the Women Premier League clubs were in pre-season," he said.
Ouma also applauded Sylvia Makungu for her performance in her debut for the national team during the tourney.
"Sylvia Makhungu has showcased her skill as she grabbed her opportunity as she played for the National team for the first time during the tournament," he added.
"I believe we are now prepared to face Tanzania for AWCON qualifiers in April from the experience we have attained in this tournament," he added.
Starlets finished third in the Turkish Women’s Cup group stages with Sheryl Angach winning the best mid-fielder award.
