Football pundit Graeme Souness has urged Frank Lampard to make Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak his number one summer target, after his Man of The Match performance against Liverpool last evening.
Souness, speaking after the Liverpool game on Virgin Media Sport, believes the Blues should look no further than the Slovenia international if they want to replace Kepa Arrizablaga between the posts.
He said: “Do we know how old he is? (to which they replied: 27)
“There you go Chelsea! Chelsea are looking for a goalkeeper. He’s been a top man for a long time.”
Should Lampard’s side make a move for Oblak this summer then he would cost the Stamford Bridge club a whooping £103million.
That is because the former Benfica man signed a new contract at the Wanda Metropolitano last summer, and still has another three years remaining on his deal.
Interesting summer ahead!
