🏆✈️🇨🇲 CAF announces 2020 Champions League final venue

The Douala City of Cameroon has successfully won the bid to host the 2019/20 CAF Champions League final.

CAF announced the result to mark a historic moment, where the tournament will for the first time in its existence, have the final play at a neutral venue. The previous format was a home and away affair which often afforded one team an advantage in one way or the other.

Having opened the bidding process in January, Cameroon’s Japoma Stadium won the rights ahead of Stade Olympique de Radès in Tunisia and Stade Mohamed V in Morocco.

Meanwhile, the current four semi-finalists of the tournament are all North African teams. Al Ahly’s Egypt will face Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca while Zamalek of Egypt will battle Raja Casablanca of Morocco in the second clash.

The final will be played on 29 May.
