Daily Express reports that North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will go head to head in luring Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren to their camp.
Lovren who is valued at £18million has found less game time at Liverpool this season and almost made a move last summer and in the January window with both being blocked by manager Jurgen Klopp who felt the player still had a lot to offer for his team.
Klopp, however, is ready to allow Lovren leave next summer with the Croatian center back having become a fourth-choice in the pecking order at Anfield.
Lovren's current deal expires in 2021 but Liverpool is keen to cash in on him now as opposed to losing him for nothing next summer with Arsenal and Spurs all keen to strengthen their defense.
Spurs might lose defender Jan Vertonghen at the end of the season for free and are looking for able replacements with their priority being in a player with a Premier League experience.
Arsenal has options at the back but with the uncertainty surrounding the futures of Sokratis and Mustafi, they see Lovren as a player who could fit in their team.
Apart from the Premier League duo, Lovren has attracted the attention of Serie A sides Lazio and AC Milan with French giants Lyon also said to be monitoring the Liverpool man closely.
Lovren, who signed for Liverpool back in 2014, has made just 14 appearances in all competitions this season and last played in their 3-0 defeat at Watford last month.
