Ghanaian star Bernard Mensah questions why Turkish Super Lig isn't stopped

Ghanaian international Bernard Mensah has expressed his fear over the risk that coronavirus poses as Turkish Super Lig continues.

In a tweet, the Kayserispor attacking midfielder interrogated the logic by the league organisers for continuing with normal activities despite Turkey recording at least 98 cases.

"Life is the most important thing on earth .. it's a serious thing going on and they always insist on continuing. Do they really care about us? ", Says the Kayserispor player on Twitter.

Despite his fears, Mensah played on Saturday providing two assists as Kayserispor beat Malatyaspor 2-1 in a league game.

On Saturday, former Nigerian John Obi Mikel expressed his reservation on continuing with the game amid the pandemic. He refused to play and on Tuesday terminated his contract with another Turkish side Trabzonspor.

The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 163 countries and territories around the world and 1 international conveyance (the Diamond Princess cruise ship harboured in Yokohama, Japan). It has infected at least 202,000 people and killed almost 8,000.
