Bauchi State FA chairman Patrick Pascal has revealed Wikki Tourist players will continue to be paid despite the suspension of the current NPFL season.
On Wednesday NFF announced that all forms of football activities will be suspended for four weeks due to the outbreak of Coronavirus. NPFL 2019/20 campaign was shut down after Wednesday's matches and Pascal in his interview with brila.net revealed Wikki Tourists' players will not be denied their dues and assured they are considered civil servants of the State.
"This is not something they caused, of course, their salaries will be on," he said.
"I am one of them. I will fight for them. We will fight for them to get anything due them, financially. They are like civil servants and we will make sure to put their welfare on the front burner."
The 45-year-old also revealed that the players will remain in the camp where they will continue with their pieces of training.
