The Coronavirus outbreak has had a financial knock on Dakkada FC players whom the club have not paid.
The NFF and LMC’s suspension of the league meant players from various clubs left for home but with paid monies. Unfortunately for Dakkada stars, the club has not produced any salaries.
“For me, I’m not coping very well because they gave us a break and no money. In fact, I couldn’t travel to Lagos to meet up with my family so I am not happy,” said Harrison Ibukun to Brila.
The player also added that the players have been getting half payments since September last year.
“We didn’t complain then because we did not expect the break, and no time for us to complain. They gave us ten days break, we are still in Uyo stranded save for those who live in the eastern part of the country but for those of us who came from Lagos or Abuja? we cannot travel due to lack of money.
Another player confirmed the reports while also revealing that he is leaving the club come the end of the season.
“It’s sad that the Indigenes are afraid to speak out, But for me, they can’t do anything to me as I have made my name already. I already made my mind up to leave the club at the end of the season," added Femi Ajayi.
