News out of China says the super rich Shanghai Shenhua have tabled a two-year extension that includes a £400,000 per week salary.
Ighalo joined the English giants on a four-month loan deal on the January transfer window deadline day. The 30-year-old Nigerian was doing superbly to impress United before the Covid-19 outbreak, and United was due to review the deal when Ighalo’s contract comes to an end in May.
“Manchester United loanee Odion Ighalo has been offered a two-year contract extension worth more than £400,000 per week by his parent club Shanghai Shenhua,” reported Sky Sports today.
“The Chinese club want to reward the Nigerian striker with a new two-year extension to his current contract.”
It now remains very interesting to see if United will make a counter offfer or part ways with the Nigerian striker.
