Manchester United have moved to tie down one of the club's budding talent, Dillon Hoogewerf, buy giving him his first professional contract.
The 18-year-old joined United from Ajax in the summer of 2019 and made his debut with the Under-18 team as a substitute in the opening fixture of the 2019/20 season against Sunderland.
The youngster operates as a mobile attacker and is capable of creating and scoring goals.
He on Thursday took to his Instagram to announce the latest development, posting a photo showing him signing the contract with the following caption;
"Really happy to sign my first professional contract, can't wait to get back to the training ground and continue the hard work,"
The exciting Dutchman's emergence adds to coach Ole Gunnar's existing list of youngsters including the likes of Mason Greenwood and Tahith Chong, who have already broken into the first team this season.
It might, however, take time before he fully breaks into the first team owing to the stiff competition, but will definitely have lots of opportunities to grow with the under-18s.
