Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly ready to make a move for Real Madrid rejects James Rodriguez and Luka Jovic.
The two have become fringe players at the Spanish club, with Rodriguez, in particular, said to be on his last season with the club.
The 28-year-old has not had the best of seasons in the last three or so years, first being shipped out on loan to Bayern Munich for two seasons before returning to the Santiago Bernabeu.
He was close to leaving during the summer, but there was no deal and was forced to stay.
The situation has however worsened with little game time, even though injuries have played a role in that.
Jovic, on the other hand, has failed to convince in his first season with the Los Blancos, having joined from Eintracht Frankfurt during the summer.
Just like Rodriguez, the Serbian has had his fair share of injuries, which have kept him out of the team from time to time.
Zidane is said to be willing to let him leave in the summer, albeit on loan to get more minutes.
Arteta and company will be in the market to find reinforcements, with the future of key striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in particular uncertain.
The Gabon international has been linked with a move away from the club, with a host of top sides across Europe said to be interested in his services.
