Good news Liverpool fans, the season will be played to completion!
According to reports, a world cup style is on the books and the UK government is ready to back clubs in a bid to ensure the league is finished ahead of next season despite the coronavirus pandemic.
This plan would see teams isolated in camps just like national teams during the world cup, the Independent reports.
The paper also suggests the government could approve of plans to get the football season going again, in order to provide entertainment for the public in case they continue to be stuck at home.
Since it is advisable to avoid much contact with people, the games would be played behind closed doors and the Independent adds that there would be televised games daily.
This is good news for Liverpool as they wanted to see the 2019/20 season completed as they sit a whopping 25 points clear at the top of the table and need just two wins to be declared champions.
