Kenya's Harambee Starlets have dropped in the latest FIFA Rankings this despite finishing in the bronze bracket earlier this month in the Turkish Women's Cup competition.
Starlets are now placed 137th globally this being a drop in four places from the previous ranking from FIFA.
Neighbours Tanzania are two places below Starlets with Rwanda and Uganda occupying positions 144 and 146 respectively; the top-ranked team in the CECAFA region being Ethiopia who is at position 111.
In Africa, Nigeria who is at position 38 globally is the top team in the region with South Africa, Cameroon and Ghana being the other top-ranked teams. Cameroon is placed 51st, South Africa 53rd while Ghana is placed 60th.
Zambia who denied Starlets a chance to participate in the 2020 Olympics climbed up six places to position 100.
Starlets were using the Turkey tournament as part of their preparations for the 2020 AWCON Qualifiers against Tanzania that was slated for April before the coronavirus bug struck.
In Turkey, Starlets opened their campaign with a convincing win over North Ireland before going down at the hands of Chile and Ghana.
The USA leads the overall ranking with Germany placed second. France displaces the Netherlands at third place with Sweden closing the top five spot.
