Ghanaian defender Daniel Opare is believed to be one of fourteen players who could be released from their contracts at Royal Antwerp when the season resumes, Ghanasoccernet reported.
Opare joined the Belgian First Division A side on a two-year contract with an option to extend for another year.
However, his time at Antwerp hasn't gone according to plan as he has spent more time on the sidelines dealing with injury woes.
Opare sustained a knee injury during a preseason friendly against KFC Brasschaat and it required to undergo surgery hence has not featured for the club this season.
The players set to be released alongside Opare are Dieumerci Mbokani, Steven Defour, Kevin Mirallas, Sinan Bolat, Dino Arslanagic, Sambou Yatabaré, Amara Baby, Daniel Opare, Steve Colpaert, Jens Teunckens and Robbe Quirynen.
