Boca Juniors sporting director Jorge Bermudez has revealed Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani is closing in on a move to the Argentine side.
Cavani was heavily linked with a move to La Liga side Atletico Madrid but a deal failed to materialize. The 33-year-old's contract with PSG is set to expire this summer and reports suggest Bermudez is playing a crucial role in a potential transfer for the Uruguayan.
"He [Cavani] would give us a great hand and be very supportive. I think he wants to come to Boca. If he comes, it is for a real desire and the signs are clear," he told Chilean outlet Radio Cooperativa.
"Knowing Riquelme and the distance to Diego [Forlan], and knowing the category of Cavani, hopefully it will be very soon."
