Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is wanted by his former club Independiente with coach Lucas Pusineri ready to swop for the striker in the summer.
Aguero has over one year left on his contract and Pusineri wants to reunite the 31-year-old striker, with AC Milan midfielder Lucas Biglia the other player wanted by the club.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Pusineri said: “I have a nice relationship with Biglia and Kun Aguero.
“We were teammates-and I have a lot of respect for their careers in Argentina and Europe. It would be nice if to have them tomorrow. In the future, I am hopeful that I will be able to count on them.”
The sentiments by Pusineri comes just days after Aguero admitted that he would like to finish his career in Argentina with his former club.
“I always try “to get back to Argentina). I know what the fans (of Independiente) want, but I have a contract with City, and I try to focus on these two years I've got left. Then I'll see what I'll do but of course, the Rojo (Independiente) is my priority.”
Pusineri who was a midfielder in his playing days shared the same team with Biglia and Aguero during his two spells at the Argentine club between 2003 and 2006.
