Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-min Son is ready to complete his mandatory national service time in South Korea.
Son was partially exempted from the mandatory military service after captaining South Korea to a gold medal in the 2018 Asian games, but will be required to undertake a similar shortened service.
The service was initially scheduled for the pre-season period, but with Premier League action still postponed, the 27-year-old is ready to use the period to complete the four-week service.
Son will get clear confirmation on Friday, after a scheduled meeting among Premier League clubs, on whether or not the postponement period will be extended beyond April 30th.
The player is currently in his country after he was given permission to fly home from England to continue his recovery from surgery on his right arm.
Son picked the injury in the 3-2 win at Aston Villa on February 16 and was initially ruled out for up to two months.
