πŸ‡¬πŸ‡βž‘οΈπŸ‡ΉπŸ‡³ The story behind Kwame Bonsu's transfer to Esperance from Asante Kotoko

Ghana international Kwame Bonsu has revealed that there have been some growing difficulties in his transfer to Esperance de Tunis, Ghanasoccernet reported.

Bonsu joined the Tunisian club on a four-year contract from Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko in 2019.

At the time it was reported that he joined Esperance for a fee of $150,000 but reports emerged that the club had reportedly refused to settle the transfer fee to Kotoko, claiming that the Porcupine Warriors owed them.

Esperance went on to claim that Kotoko owed them $180,000 instead for the signing of Emmanuel Clottey and wanted the Ghanaian club to pay an additional $30,000 to clear the debt.

During an interview with Kumasi-based Silver FM, Bonsu did not mince his disappointment on how his transfer became a saga.

"I asked our management (Esperance) and they told me it is true they haven't paid the money because Kotoko owe them on a transfer in player Emmanuel Clottey, and this worries me a lot because my name would always be mentioned."

Bonsu made nine league appearances for Esperance before matches were suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
