REPORTS: Southgate to end Kyle Walker’s England career

Gareth Southgate has no plans of calling Manchester City defender Kyle Walker in his team following his latest saga with escorts.

Reports emerged last week that Walker had broken social distancing rules by having a party at his house with two female escorts with the defender forced to apologize to the public on his behaviour.

Walker is facing a £250,000 club fine following the behaviour with the proceedings set to be channelled to help those who are fighting the virus in the UK.

Now the Stars reports that it might have been the end for Walker and the England national team with manager Gareth Southgate said to have been irked by his move.

Walker’s last England appearance was as a substitute against Switzerland in the Nations League finals last June with Southgate yet to pick him again for any game this majorly because of the options available for the manager at right back.

It is one area that England is rich in with Southgate having Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, Man United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Atleti’s Keiran Trippier fighting for the same position.

29-year-old Walker has 48 caps for his country and has been a key figure in the City team despite their disappointing outing this season.
