Brazilian World Cup winner Ronaldinho Gaucho has been released from a Paraguayan jail after serving 32 days of what was meant to be a six-month term.
The former Brazil international will, however, be put under house arrest, and will not be allowed to leave the country as he awaits trial on the charges facing them.
Further reports indicated the former forward, together with his brother, paid a £1.3million bond, and will be allowed to move into the Palmaroga Hotel in Asuncion for the time being.
Ronaldinho, 40, was thrown behind bars after he was found guilty of forging passports to gain entry into the South American country.
The duo, together with his entourage were said to be in the country for promotional events.
The former Ballon d'Or winner kept his usual smile despite being behind bars, going as far as taking part in a tournament organized during his 40the birthday.
This is not the first time he is running into trouble with authorities, as he had his Brazilian and Spanish passports seized by Brazilian authorities in 2019.
