Independiente have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
Reports from South America suggest that Independiente have launched 'Operation Aguero' as they try to persuade the Argentine to return to his boyhood club. And Independiente boss Lucas Pusineri, a former team-mate of Aguero's, has been saving the striker's favorite shirt number.
Speaking to Super Miter Deportivo, Pusineri said, "Hopefully it will be my turn to be the coach of Kun Aguero. I was a team-mate of his and hope that in the future I will get to be his coach.
"Hopefully in my stay at Independiente, I can come to [reunite with] Sergio. We are keeping him the No10 [shirt]. It will depend on the desire or will that he puts on his return, that is why I say that one is excited to [prospectively] see Sergio again at Independiente, continuing to give joy to the people of Independiente."
Aguero's contract with City is set to expire in the summer of 2021.
