English clubs have ruled European football in recent years.
Liverpool are the current Champions League title holders, while Chelsea have the Europa League title.
To put this into further perspective, the two finals; the Champions League and Europa League were contested by English sides.
Liverpool saw off Tottenham Hotspur at the Wanda Metropolitan, while the Blues beat Arsenal in Baku.
Spanish LaLiga sides have however given England a run for their money, with Real Madrid and Barcelona, in particular, exchanging the Champions League in five successive seasons; between 2013/14 to 2018/19.
So, where do English sides rank in Europa League winners' standings?
Liverpool - 3 titles
Liverpool is the most successful English club in Europe, with its 2018/19 win giving them their sixth Champions League crown.
The Reds also happen to lead the standings as the English club with the highest number of Europa League titles with three.
They last won the title in 2000/01 season, after beating Alaves 5-4 in Dortmund, thanks to golden goal.
Chelsea - 2 titles
Chelsea strolled to their second title when they beat London rivals Arsenal 4-1 in Baku in May 2019 to lay hands on their second crown.
They first lifted the title in 2013/14, a season after winning the Champion League, when they saw off Benfica 2-1 in Amsterdam.
Tottenham - 2 titles
Chelsea's London rivals have two titles as well. Their last win, however, dates back to almost four decades ago.
Their first victory in Europe came 1971/72 against another English side, Wolves, whom they beat 3-2 on aggregate after a two-legged final.
They would record similar success during the 1983/84 seasons on home soil when they beat Anderlecht 4-3 on penalties following identical 1-1 draws in the two final matches.
Man United - 1 title
Manchester United have tested continental victory in both the Champions League and the Europa League, with the latter their latest title.
The Red Devils, under Jose Mourinho at the time lifted the title in 2016/17 season in Solna, courtesy of a 2-0 win over Ajax Amsterdam.
Overall, Sevilla are the most successful side in the competition, having won five titles including back-to-back-to-back wins between 2013/14-2016/17.
