Newcastle United, on the cusp of new management, has contacted Italian side Napoli over the availability of defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
According to Foot Mercato, the Premier League side will be getting funds injected into its transfer kitty and they plan on using it on big-money transfers, with £70m ready to be set aside for the center back.
There has, however, been no communication from the Senegal international's camp.
Koulibaly has often been linked with a move to Manchester United, but Manchester City and Real Madrid are also said to be interested.
The 27-year-old could allegedly be available for £74m during this summer's transfer window.
