Hearts of Oak striker Abednego Tetteh has revealed how he was forced to play through an injury during his time with Al Hilal in Sudan.
The 29-year-old was eventually released from his contract to the shock of many fans who believed he was one of the best players in Sudan.
“I was in top form for Al Hilal but unfortunately I got injured in a league game before our Champions League game with Port Luis of Mauritius,’ he told Football Made in Ghana.
“I was forced to play for my side in the Champions League game and I scored twice despite being injured,” he narrated.
“I was given the opportunity to travel to Ghana to use some traditional treatment but I was forced to return to Sudan three days after arriving in Ghana to play against our bitterest rivals Al Merreikh.
“Despite the injury, I accepted to play but we lost 2-1 to Al Merreikh and I scored the only goal for Al Hilal. My contract was terminated without my notice after the game."
