Saudi side Al Hilal has denied entering any negotiations with Al Ahly over a possible transfer for Ali Maaloul.
Egyptian publication KingFut reports that an Al Hilal representative said that the club is not looking to sign the Tunisian international.
Maaloul joined Al Ahly in 2016 from CS Sfaxien and has played an instrumental role in helping the Red Devils clinch six major trophies including three Egyptian Premier League titles, an Egypt Cup and two Egyptian Super Cup trophies.
He has made 20 appearances this season scoring five times and registering seven assists, an impressive return for the left-back.
Tunisian media had earlier this week suggested that the Saudi Arabian side was in advanced talks to sign the defender in summer.
However, according to Asharq Al-Awsat, the Blues aren’t looking to sign him and haven’t contacted him or Al Ahly, after speaking with an Al Hilal representative.
