Eden Hazard has been backed by Robert Martinez to win the Ballon d'Or at Real Madrid.
Hazard left Chelsea last summer and signed for the Los Blancos but has struggled to make an impact at Santiago Bernabeu after being rocked with injuries. The Belgian has managed to make only 10 appearances for Madrid since his arrival last summer.
Nevertheless, Belgium coach Martinez is confident that Hazard can blossom into a Madrid legend and leave a legacy in the Spanish capital.
"Hazard will succeed," he told Cadena SER.
"Sometimes you need a difficult start at your new club to really give everything you have inside and to understand what a club like Real Madrid means. [Fans] can rest easy, because he will mark an era. There are no players like him, he can win the Ballon d'Or."
Martinez recently committed his future to the Belgian national side by signing a two-year contract extension with the Red Devils.
