Warriors head coach, Zdravko Logarusic, was fully expecting Stade Reims to renew Marshall Nyasha Muntesi’s contract.
The Croatian coach, who has extensive African experience with clubs in Kenya and Ghana, and the Sudan national side, says Munetsi has the qualities for higher leagues.
Additionally, the reaction comes shortly after the Ligue 1 club decided to keep the Zimbabwean midfielder until 2023.
“Marshall (Munetsi) is a typical example of the talented players that are coming from Zimbabwe,” Loga told NewsDay.
“They (Reims) extended his contract because they know he is a good and professional player who possesses so many traits of good African players with stability, skill and speed.
“The player can play in any league, not specifically the English league. He can play in the Spanish, German leagues because he has shown professionalism on and off the field of play,” concluded Logarusic.
