Former Ghana international Stephen Appiah has admitted that he was able to succeed at Brescia with the help of Pep Guardiola and Roberto Baggio, Football Ghana reported.
Appiah made the switch to Brescia from Parma during the 2002/03 season, and during this time he played alongside Baggio and Manchester City manager Guardiola.
He was to eventually move to Serie A giants Juventus where he enjoyed two seasons with them.
In an interview with Joy Sports Link he said: "I scored 8 goals the 2002-2003 season with Brescia because when you are playing with Guardiola and Baggio, they make things simple for you."
Appiah made 32 appearances across all competitions for Brescia.
