Harambee Stars midfielder Francis Kahata arrived safely in Tanzania to join his Simba SC teammates ahead of the country’s top-flight resumption.
Simba had returned to training earlier in the week after the government had given the green light for the league resumption next month.
Due to flight restrictions, Kahata wasn’t able to join his teammates on time but used a bus to the border before taking a flight to Dar Es Salaam where he is expected to be part of the team’s session on Sunday.
The league body is yet to release fixture but Simba is slated to take on rivals Azam FC in the Shield Cup slated for June 28 at the National Stadium-Dar Es Salaam.
Apart from Simba, the other clubs are on with their preparations as they seek to dethrone Simba from the top of the log.
Simba is currently on top of the log with 71 points after 28 games with second-placed Azam on 54 points. Mbeya City, Alliance FC, Mbao and Singida FC are the teams left in the relegation struggle.
