His game has been compared to that of Mane who at Southampton before making a move to Liverpool and according to Djenepo, he can better the Senegalese.
“Sadio is a big inspiration for me. I like him, he’s a very big player. But I think I can be better (than him) if I work hard. Sadio is a very big player, and I’m young and I need to learn more. In the future, we will see. I will do my best to become the next Sadio Mané,” he said.
Djenepo has only had 20 appearances for the team this season managing 925 Premier League minutes this season where he has only scored two goals and dished out a pair of assists.
The player spent his youthful days at Belgian with Standard Liege where he managed nine goals in 49 appearances.
