Former Everton and Watford manager Marco Silva targeting Premier League return

Portuguese manager Marco Silva wants to return to manage in the Premier League again after stints with Everton, Hull City and Watford FC.

Silva was sacked by Everton last December and replaced by Carlo Ancelotti and in an interview with Sky Sports, he said he was open to venture into other leagues too but was not desperate.

"No doubts it is my aim to manage in the Premier League. I love the Premier League. I have managed three different clubs in the Premier League and it's the toughest competition in the world.

"We have many things to keep proving in the Premier League and it is something I'm looking for in my future. I don't know if it will be soon or not, but of course, it's my aim.

"I am preparing for the right one. That doesn't mean it has to just be in the Premier League. I have targets to manage in different leagues as well. I am not desperate to go anywhere.

"There are no doubts I am a better manager now. I remember when I joined the first club in the Premier League what I had to prove in that moment. I took a risk with Hull because the club was not in the best position in the table.

"But it was a fantastic period for me. And when I go again, I have to prove again - because you have to prove yourself every day in football. For sure I have to be a better manager now," he said.

In the interview, Silva admitted his tenure at Everton was undone by fine margins as the club had aims of fighting for European places.
