James Kotei has begun to search for a club after Belarusian top flight club FC Slavia Mozyr, reportedly released the Ghanaian on Friday.
According to a leading local publication, Kotei and the club separated over a mutual agreement. The central midfielder joined the Eastern European club as a free agent after leaving Kaizer Chiefs in February.
“Belarusian elite division side FC Slavia Mozyr have parted ways with Ghanaian midfielder James Agyekum Kotei after just five months,” GHANAsoccernet.com confirmed.
"The former Liberty Professionals star has failed to make a single start in the Belarus Premier League this season after 13 matches. He was on the bench on only three occasions,” added the report.
It now remains to be seen if Kotei may return to Tanzanian giants Simba SC, where he won the Midfielder of the Season award.
