Chipolopolo and Absa Premiership legend Collins Mbesuma, has told Justin Shonga why he should decide to make the C.S. Marítimo move.
As reported here on Futaa last week, Shonga’s agent confirmed that Orlando Pirates are in talks with Mbesuma’s former club Maritomo - with a view to agree on a Shonga transfer.
Local reporter Sipho Mlotha meanwhile got hold of Mbesuma to get his views on the events.
"Ja it will be a good move I think. Ja, I think so," Mbesuma told KickOff.com.
"The club has nice people but mostly the Brazilian players play there. When I was there like half of the team were Brazilian people.
"And you know what Brazilians can do, they are good you know like in soccer, you can put it like that. So there's a lot of competition.
The 36-year-old striker, whose stay at the club was followed by a move to England’s Portsmouth, concluded to mention what Shonga can expect and deliver should the transfer materialize.
"It's not a team where you can go and get relaxed. There's a lot of competition. They can never even be on top there.
"But ja the team is very well known so I think it can be a good move for him. It's just about working hard in football, there's no shortcuts.
"When he gets there he must get to the business you know and work hard. People there, if you show passion and work hard, they will support you,” concluded Mbesuma.
