According to London based renowned reporter David Ornstein, Arsenal striker Gabriel Martinelli suffered a knee injury in training yesterday, and he is due to find out the results of a scan which may rule him out for the rest of the campaign.
With goalkeeper Bernd Leno already set to be out for about six weeks, the young Brazilian adds to the list of injured Gunners as he may not feature until the new season with feared meniscus damage.
Arteta is already without Granit Xhaka, Pablo Mari, and Calum Chambers.
Leno, Xhaka, and Mari all picked up injuries in the first two matches of the return of the league, and Martinelli's absence will rob the Arsenal boss of one of his key attacking options.
Since joining from Ituano FC last summer, Martinelli has netted an impressive 10 goals from 26 appearances in all competitions.
