Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel on Friday received a transfer ban from FIFA following their dispute with former player Darwin Gonzales.
Etoile will not be able to sign any player in three transfer windows unless they settle the signing-on fee owed to the former Deportivo la Gueira player. This ban will remain in force as long as the Sousse club fails to clear the balance.
Gonzalez is demanding around $200,000 from the Tunisian club, an amount the club's spokesman said that they will settle soon.
The 25-year-old Venezuelan joined Etoile in January from La Gueira in a three-year deal.
González started his career in the Venezuelan Segunda División with Arroceros before joining Venezuelan Primera División side Deportivo La Guaira. In July 2017, González was loaned to Patronato of the Argentine Primera División.
