Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha, simply told Amakhosi to sign Musona.
According to the story, Bobby Motuang and Donald Khuse were due to travel to Bulawayo to watch the central defender Thomas Sweswe, but Nengomasha advised they should not miss the opportunity to check out Musona.
“I had kept an eye on Knowledge Musona, and they wanted to fly out to Bulawayo to watch a different player, but I told them there was a gem of a player who had recently been to Sundowns for trials,” Nengomasha told Far Post.
“Thomas played really well that day, his experience from playing in the Champions League (with Dynamos) and for the national team worked for him.
Sweswe, who eventually had a successful time at Naturena before ending up at Bidvest Wits, was available to confirm his move to Naturena.
“There wasn’t much to negotiate, and I was literally on the plane to Johannesburg the following afternoon to sign with Chiefs,” Sweswe said.
