Brighton 0-3 Man United: Bruno Fernandes scores two as the Red Devils shut out the Seagulls

After Man United's ugly weekend win over Norwich City, today was another tricky test against a resilient Brighton side who are themselves unbeaten since the restart two weeks ago.

Graham Potter's side has defeated Arsenal and held both Wolves and Leicester since they returned to action earlier in the month, but the Red Devils were up to the task.

Here's the action:

Goals

Mason Greenwood 0-1 17'

There was brilliant play by the young forward leading to the goal.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka forced a pass through the lines to Greenwood, who had a little half yard of space, took on his man, and used step-overs to open up the shot that beamed low into the bottom corner.

Bruno Fernandes 0-2 30'

Marcus Rashford played Luke Shaw in on the left, who got to the byline but couldn’t pick out Anthony Martial with his pull-back.

The ball runs to Paul Pogba outside the penalty area, who touched it inside to Fernandes, whose first-time shot hit Mac Allister and spun past Ryan and inside the post!

Bruno Fernandes 0-3 50'

Harry Maguire headed the ball out from his area to Nemanja Matic, who chested it down and volleyed a pass to Greenwood, who was bursting down the left.

Greenwood then sprints to the edge of the area, with Rashford and Martial making runs in the middle to occupy the defense, but the young forward lifts the ball beyond them to the unmarked Fernandes, who volleys in.

It was clinical, and excellent at every stage: header, control, pass, run, cross, finish.
