Netherlands national team head coach Ronald Koeman has moved to Barcelona as the future of Quique Setien remains in doubt.
There have been rumours that Setien will be sacked at the end of the season if he can’t win the Laliga title and the presence of Koeman has just fueled those speculations.
Daily Mail reports that Koeman is interested in coaching his former team with the Dutchman having admitted before that the team had approached him before but he couldn’t leave his post as the Netherlands boss.
Koeman was spotted moving into a new place in Barcelona, and there are suggestions that he is readying himself for the Barcelona top seat.
Many had tipped the former Everton boss to leave his role as the Dutch manager after the 202 EUROS which was cancelled due to Coronavirus pandemic and there has not been a clear picture of where he will land in the summer.
Leading his country to the Euros where they are considered as one of the favourite teams might be too tempting to turn down but so is leading one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Having played and coached at Barca as an assistant coach, the Dutchman has a good relationship with the Laliga giants and slotting in won’t be a problem.
