Express FC chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka has claimed that the newly-unveiled Vipers SC defender Disan Galiwango has a valid contract with the Red Eagles.
Vipers on Wednesday announced that they had signed Galiwango on a four-year deal but Express have moved swiftly to claim ownership of the defender.
“Express FC with a valid contract has not released or transferred Disan,” reads partly a tweet by KK as famously known.
“This has not come as a surprise to us!! While we respect his wish to leave, the club has rights which Vipers is aware of. We intend to enforce them using all the legal avenues available to us.”
The left-back, who has been linked with a number of clubs outside Uganda, becomes the first signing for coach Fred Kajoba.
