Inter Milan's faint title hopes all but crushed as they fell to a shocking 2-1 home defeat to Bologna on Sunday afternoon.
Antonio Conte's men seemed to be in control after Romeul Lukaku gave them the lead on the 22nd minute, but they were meant to pay late on as they conceded on the 74th and 80th minutes to end on the losing side.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men on the 57th minute after Roberto Soriano was shown a straight red card for unsportsmanlike conduct, but Inter could not take advantage.
Lautaro Martinez then missed the chance to double the hosts' lead from the spot five minutes after the red-card, shooting straight at the goalkeeper who made a comfortable safe.
Inter were then reduced to 10 men as well on the 77th minute after Alessandro Bastoni was shown a second yellow card for tripping.
It then got worse for Antonio Conte's men as Musa Barrow got to the end of a Dominguez cross to bury it past the keeper for a 2-1 lead.
Inter rallied in the final minutes to get an equalizer but it never came as they slumped to yet another defeat, which leaves them 11 points off league leaders Juventus.
They next play away to Verona on Thursday next week.
