Ghanaian attacker Nana Opoku Ampomah could be on his way to Belgium following Club Brugge's interest in his services.
Ampomah was signed by Dusseldorf for a record transfer in the summer of 2019 from Belgian outfit Waasland-Beveren.
The 24-year-old has endured a difficult season with Dusseldorf due to an ankle injury that has kept him off the pitch for a lengthy period of time.
According to reports, the German outfit has made him available ahead of the summer transfer window following the relegation to Bundesliga II.
"The player[Ampomah] is interested in going back to Belgium and Club Brugge are serious about getting him," the source told Ghana Guardian.
"The initial plan was to have a good season with Fortuna Düsseldorf and move on to a bigger club in Germany or England from there. But it didn't happen the way wanted it but Belgium will be a good place to start again.
"Ampomah is used to the terrain and Brugge have been interested in him since his days with Beveren."
