Matteo Kovacic has shaken off an injury he recently picked to make himself available for Chelsea's trip to Sheffield United on Saturday.
The Croat missed the Blues' last two matches; a 3-0 win over Watford and a 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace in midweek with an Achilles heel injury.
Frank Lampard revealed last week that the former Real Madrid man was back in training, saying;
"[Mateo] Kovacic trained with us today, he’s not ready for this game, hopefully, the next.
His return is a welcome relief for coach Frank Lampard especially since Billy Gilmour sustained a knee injury that will rule him out for the remainder of the season.
The youngster now joins N'Golo Kante on the hospital bed, after the Frenchman withdrew during the Blues' Premier League clash against Watford.
Their absence will open doors for the return of Jorginho, who has fallen down the pecking order since the restart.
The Italian, who made a substitute appearance as Chelsea beat Crystal Palace in midweek, has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks, with Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri thought to be keen on snapping him up.
