Arsenal defender Dinos Mavropanos has joined newly-promoted Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart on a season-long loan despite inking a new deal with the Premier League club.
The 22-year-old defender has been on loan at 2. Bundesliga side Nuremberg since January, where he made 12 appearances where he helped them to escape relegation.
In a statement, Arsenal noted: “Dinos Mavropanos has signed a new contract with us and will join VfB Stuttgart on loan next season.
“Everyone at Arsenal sends their congratulations to Dinos and wishes him all the best for his time with Stuttgart. The loan is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.”
While speaking to Stuttgart official website, the defender said: "Switching to VfB is a new challenge in my career.
"I thank the management and the trainer for the trust they have placed in me. My goal is to return this trust with good performances and to do my part for a successful VfB season."
The Greece Under-21 international, he has made eight first-team appearances for Arsenal since joining them from Greek side PAS Giannina in January 2018.
