Bernd Leno has returned to training following an injury he sustained during a Premier League match against Brighton last month.
The German landed awkwardly on his right leg from a Neal Maupay challenge, but avoided a serious injury.
The club has now confirmed the goalkeeper has returned to light training, which includes outside running, and should start ball drills in the next few days.
Meanwhile, Callum Chambers is also on the right path to recovery following a serious injury he suffered last year during a home loss against Chelsea.
"Progressed to the next stage of his recovery and is now running and integrating outside with light ball work
Will continue to work hard throughout the close season period with the aim of being back to full training as soon as possible this calendar year," read part of the statement from the club.
The two players' absence has not been heavily felt, even though the Gunners' defense has not performed at the highest level yet, with coach Mikel Arteta tinkering with a number of partnerships at the back.
In goal though, Leno's replacement, Emiliano Martinez has been exemplary in the few matches he has played and looks ready to battle for the number one jersey.
