Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg are willing to offer around £9million for the services of Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren.
Lovren has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield this season and was on the verge of leaving the club last summer before manager Jurgen Klopp came in to block the move.
According to Daily Mail, Petersburg wants a replacement for Branislav Ivanovic who is set to leave the club with Lovren keen to move to a club that will offer him more playing time.
The 31-year old has one year left on contract though Liverpool has indicated they will take up their option to extend that by another year if he remains with them at the end of the summer but the Premier League champions wants £15m from his suitors.
Klopp has preferred the central defensive partnership of Joe Gomez and Virgil Van Dijk with Lovren having been used as a cover for the duo and Joel Matip; his reserved role seeing him only manage 15 appearances for the club this season.
Liverpool is said to have rejected an offer of around £13m from Roma last summer and with the club keen not to add any defender in the coming transfer, they are reluctant to let Lovren go.
