Former Nigerian striker Patrick Pascal has said Victor Osimhen has long proven his special qualities as early as U17 level.
As widely talked about, Victor Osimhen is set to finalize a move from Lille to Serie A’s Napoli on any day, meaning he will be choosing the Naples club over several English Premier League and Serie A sides.
Pascal, who's playing career was well known in Belgium and France, is confident the 21-year-old Osimhen could have gone anywhere.
“Osimhen has shown good quality already. He is a player that can fit into the first team of any club in Europe.
“We saw what he did with the under-17, under-20 and under-23 teams, and now the senior national team. That shows he is good.
While Pascal is confident, he does nevertheless warn that the Nigerian striker should go where he is most certain to spent more weekends on the pitch than anywhere else.
“He now has to think well before making any transfer. A player must watch where he is going, so that he does not end up on the bench. He should go only where he will be assured of playing in the starting line-up all the time. Once Osimhen goes to a club where he can play regularly and fit into their pattern, I know he will perform,” Pascal concluded on Mega Sports via Brila.
