🎯 Aubameyang breaks Three records after FA Cup win

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang broke three records in Arsenal’s FA win over Chelsea on Sunday.

The Gabonese became the first African to ever captain a side in the FA Cup final, with his brace ensuring that it was an appearance which will be forever associated with his name.

Apart from the captaincy, the striker became the first Arsenal player to score twice in a Wembley FA Cup final since Reg Lewis against Liverpool in 1950, and at 31, he became the oldest Arsenal scorer in a cup final since Bob John netted against Newcastle in 1932.

Apart from the records, it was the player’s first major trophy since winning the German Cup with Borussia Dortmund in 2017, a success which had stood as half of the major honours he'd ever won - after the French League Cup with Saint-Etienne in 2013.
